Gateway Connect and data in the ivie app
This process is fairly instant but sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for your live data to appear in the ivie app. If you can’t see your data after 24 hours, please contact our Customer Care team here.
Gateway Connect – data subscription
The Gateway Connect comes with a complimentary 1 year data subscription. The Gateway Connect has an embedded SIM card and uses 4G connectivity to ensure that the device is always connected and always on, irrespective of your Wi-Fi signal. The 4G connectivity ensures over 4G, with up to 99% UK coverage that connects to 4 different networks. The only cost charged to you is the cost of the data available through the SIM card in the device that enables your device to stay online and connected.
The Gateway Connect subscription costs £1 per month. If you don’t pay your subscription, your device’s 4G connectivity will no longer be supported, therefore you will not be able to see your live energy and environmental data in the ivie app. Your ivie app will reset to default and will only show you, your historical (24-48 hours behind) electricity and gas data. Your temperature and humidity data will no longer be synced into the app as well, due to the lack of 4G signal.
Your free data subscription will last for one year from the moment you have installed the device at your property. We will then contact you with steps on how to set up your monthly subscription to ensure that your 4G signal continues to work. You will be able to set up and pay for your subscription either on a month by month basis or on an annual basis. The cost of the subscription will be £1 per month per device or £12 per year per device.
