Chameleon Technology’s Gateway Connect has won a spot on the shortlist of the Housing Digital Innovation Awards!
It has reached the finals in the competitive category of Most Innovative New Product – Hardware.
It’s a fantastic result for our newest home energy management product, which also marks our first foray into the social housing sector. We’re building on our 15 years’ valuable energy expertise to bring a full, end-to-end solution for social housing providers, landlords, low-carbon technology installers and housing experts.
The Gateway Connect offers an end-to-end energy and environmental monitoring solution that is simple, scalable and affordable. Landlords can see their portfolio at at glance, with a clear colour-coded system to flag the homes most in need of attention.
What sets Chameleon’s hardware solution apart is its consideration of the end user – the tenant.
The Gateway Connect is posted directly to the tenant, who simply has to plug it in. There’s no hard-wired sensors into walls, and no sense of Big Brother oppressive monitoring. Instead the Gateway Connect offers the tenants something of value too.
They can access their own home energy data via the ivie app, to help them manage and reduce their energy bills. ivie app users have been shown to save an average 18% on their energy usage – which can mean valuable pounds back in pockets.
