Chameleon Technology continues to break ground in property technology, 15 years into its mission to help households better understand their energy usage. Honouring that, Business Cloud’s annual #PropTech50 listing saw Chameleon land at number 8 on the list, ahead of household names such as Zoopla and Sprive.
The PropTech 50 list is an annual ranking of UK companies creating original technology for real estate, construction, the built environment and building management.
From a 114-strong shortlist, the final ranking was decided by a combination of selections from an expert judging panel and a vote among readers of BusinessCloud.
We’ve successfully delivered millions of in-home displays to households, with our devices found in 1 in 3 homes, over the last 15 years.
In 2025 we’re adapting, like our namesake, to tackle the issues facing an even broader spectrum of homes and businesses.
From mould and damp monitoring to helping assess a property’s suitability for low-carbon technology, Chameleon’s expertise in energy and environmental data has us perfectly placed to help residential, social housing and commercial businesses adapt to Net Zero challenges.
“We’re thrilled to have been recognised once again in PropTech’s top 50 most innovative companies,” says Kyle Brown, Chameleon’s Chief Commercial Officer. “We’re sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Rightmove at #7, which is incredible. We’ve had a lot of success in helping households visualise their energy use – now we’re moving beyond that, into building end-to-end energy solutions for the wider housing space. There’s still so much more to come.”
