It’s estimated that 1.4m AMR meters require updating or replacing to be able to continue transmitting live energy data across the UK – a costly and time-consuming procedure for Meter Access Providers (MAPs).

Our new Gateway Business has been specifically engineered to solve this issue. Drawing on our award-winning design and manufacturing experience, our new device offers a simple solution to diffuse this ticking time-bomb facing the smart energy industry.
A Gateway Business device can be quickly and easily connected to existing AMR meters, which uses 4G signal to transmit the meter data to the supplier’s cloud system. This simple modem-style addition avoids the need to undertake expensive meter replacements, and saves both time and money with much faster engineer appointments.
The Gateway Business features a custom antenna design, and can connect to four different mobile networks for an incredibly stable 4G signal even in difficult locations. The device is compatible with the vast majority of AMR meters, and can be powered by the meter itself.
